In Memoriam...
Dr. Ben Campbell JohnsonOur dear friend, teacher and mentor, Dr. Ben Campbell Johnson, founder of the Atlanta InterFaith leaders Forum and Advisory Board Member for ICI passed away earlier this month. Dr. Johnson devoted much of his work to church growth and spiritual formation. An ordained minister at Presbyterian Church USA, he was the Program Director of ICI’s Immersion Experience and Leader of ICI’s Contemplative Groups. He received a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a PhD from Emory University. He has authored 30 books, including “Beyond 9/11: Christians and Muslims Together”,Companions in Contemplation, and editor of Sacred Space (an exploration of the sacred space of Five World Religions). He left us a legacy of love, hope and a road map for peace. His light will continue to shine in all our hearts. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his family. |
