** Interfaith Community Initiatives in consideration of safety for our interfaith friends we are postponing our pilgrimage to Charleston and St. John Island, South Carolina. We understand that one of the most effective strategies against spreading the Corona Virus is practicing social distancing and limiting face to face interactions. We are adhering to these strategies and encouraging you to as well. One interfaith principle that we all adhere to is safety. We will notify you as soon as we are able to reschedule our pilgrimage and in the meantime we invite you to check on your interfaith friends during these times to ensure that we all continue to be well. This is the time to show that interfaith works.
Charleston, South Carolina founded in 1670 as Charles Town is one of the oldest and largest cities in South Carolina. It is considered the “Gem of the South” and boasts historical firsts, many attractions, well-preserved architecture, distinguished restaurants, and hospitable people. Charleston is one of the South’s most popular tourist attraction. It is surrounded by beautiful beaches including St. John’s Island which is the largest island in the state of South Carolina.
