In Celebration of Interfaith Harmony Week:![]() Social Protest, Social Change and Religion - Exploring Creative Paths To Peace. Rev. Tom Buchanan - moderator Sunday, February 15, 2014 3 PM to 5 PM Emory Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall 1886 North Decatur Road, Atlanta, GA 30307 America has come a long way since the 1960s when a coalition of religious leaders helped to bring about fundamental changes in American attitudes toward race and social equality. But in recent years, movements in opposition to Stand Your Ground Laws, police actions in Ferguson Missouri, and New York City, and the Occupy Wall Street protests has once again forced a discussion of prevailing social attitudes. Please join us for our discussion at Emory Presbyterian Church that focuses on the role of religion and people of faith in the national debate over social change and social protest. There is no charge for this program.
