Zen Jesus - A"Wine & Wisdom" Series at Emory Presbyterian Church, Atlanta

Zen Jesus:
A Buddhist-Christian Conversation on the Parables & Teachings of Christ

3 Tuesday Nights – September 30; October 7 & 14 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. each night

Convened by the Rev. J. Thomas Buchanan, Associate Pastor of Emory Presbyterian Church, with special guest Geshe Dadul Namgyal, Senior Resident Teacher at Drepung Loseling Monastery in Atlanta, a staff translator/interpreter at the Emory-Tibet Partnership, and the auxiliary English language translator for His Holiness the Dalai Lama

A.I.L.F presents: With Loving Concern –Medicine Knows No Religious Boundaries

Sunday, September 28 – 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. program; dinner and conversation to follow.

Christ Community AME Church, 4145 East Ponce de Leon Ave., Clarkston, GA 30021

 Who:               
Saeed Raees, Co-founder and President; Dr. Gulshan Harjee, Co- founder, and medical staff volunteers associated with the Clarkston Community Health Clinic as program presenters. Leaders of the Clarkston immigrant community as commentators. 

What: 
An informative celebration of the progress and status of the development of the Clarkston Community Health Clinic. The CCHC which is soon to open was based on the vision of its co-founders. They recognized the critical need for low cost and convenient health services for those in Clarkston relatively recently arrived from different countries with limited or virtually no financial resources. They recognized that a readily accessible community health clinic would be particularly appropriate to serve those of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds.

“This Year in TURKEY” is a refrain that will have special significance for 30 Leaders from business, community organizations, foundations and religious communities experiencing a unique spiritual journey to Turkey. Three Abrahamic faiths—Jews, Christians and Muslims, men and women, diverse races and gender— will travel together on a quest for personal enrichment and to deepen their understanding of each other.
