Angela Harrington RiceAngela Harrington Rice comes to Interfaith Community Initiatives as a seasoned voice for interfaith issues. She has worked in the area of interfaith and community building as a communicator, minister, and activist. She rose through the ranks of Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters (AIB), a regional cable television network to become Director of Community Engagement, charged with connecting AIB to the Community. For over 25 years developed and created content that celebrated the diversity of Atlanta’s faith communities. She has been at the forefront of bringing much-needed attention to developing relationships across cultural and religious boundaries. In 2008 she received the coveted Emmy award for producing World Pilgrims: A Sacred Journey to Turkey, a film that documents the journey of a group of Christians, Jews and Muslims who traveled to Turkey to learn more about each other and their faith traditions. Angela has continued to travel with World Pilgrims and has been a faith leader on pilgrimages to South Africa and San Francisco. A ministerial graduate of The Barbara King School of Ministry, Rev. Angela is putting into practice what she has learned as a teacher, minister, interfaith activist, and writer. She answered the call to minister, and for over six years she served as Senior Associate Minister for Hillside International Truth Center and as Academic Dean of The Barbara King School of Ministry. She is an inductee of Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel Board of Preachers. She currently serves as Senior Minister at One Love Spiritual Center in Fayetteville, Georgia. |
