Attorney Rashid graduated from the Mohammed Schools of Atlanta, GA then went on to receive a BS in Human and Organizational Development with a double major in English from Vanderbilt University.  She taught high school English for two years at the Mohammed Schools of Atlanta before going on to receive a J.D. from Mercer University’s School of Law.  Attorney Rashid continued to expand her knowledge of Islam through travels to Malaysia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage, as well as interfaith pilgrimages to Israel, Palestine and Turkey.  She has completed various training including an American Muslim Women’s Leadership Training in Abu Dhabi, UAE; a Political Leadership Training sponsored by the White House Project; and the Faith in the City Leadership Training Program.  Attorney Rashid speaks on various occasions around the city of Atlanta on topics surrounding Muslims, Muslim women, interfaith relations, and various areas of the law. She has conducted published research for the GA Trial Lawyers Association on “When Your Client is Muslim: Considerations for Trial Lawyers”.  Attorney Rashid is also a contributing writer for Azizah magazine, a nationally distributed Muslim women’s magazine.
