ICI’s Immersion Program offers individuals and organizations an opportunity to learn about the diversity of cultures and faiths in Metro Atlanta. More than an academic orientation, an Immersion is an experiential program with participants visiting sacred and community spaces, sharing thoughts and impressions, eating together and mediating on their new understandings.
The Metro Atlanta area is home to an increasingly diverse population. People from a myriad of national, cultural and religious backgrounds now live, work, play and worship in our neighborhoods. New technologies and world-wide instant communication means that people and cultures are encountering each at other in different ways than ever before. We can no longer consider our country as one homogenous identity; we must realize that all of the world’s faiths and cultures have moved in right next door.

The Immersion experience has been used by many organizations and educational institutions (including the City of Clarkston, Morehouse College and Columbia Theological Seminary) to initiate interfaith and inter-cultural programming.
